Approach

A practice built to listen, not just prescribe.

Many people assume a psychiatric nurse practitioner only prescribes medication. That isn’t how this practice works. Talk therapy and counseling are the backbone of every visit — medication is one of several tools, used when it earns its place.

i

Listen first.

The primary therapy I use is sitting down and really talking with you. Talk therapy and counseling are the foundation of every visit — medication, when it's the right tool, follows the conversation, never the other way around.

ii

Treat the whole person.

Mental health and physical health aren't separate. We look at sleep, stress, lifestyle, and the people around you alongside any medication or therapy plan.

iii

No judgment, ever.

Whether this is your first session or your fiftieth, you're met with warmth, respect, and a friendly attitude. There is no judgment here.

What I offer

Both kinds of care, under one roof.

The single biggest misunderstanding patients have about working with a PMHNP is the assumption that it’s a quick medication check-in and nothing more. In my practice, that isn’t true.

I provide counseling and talk therapyin the same visit where we talk about medication. For some patients, the conversation is enough. For others, the right medication, well-titrated, opens a door that talk therapy alone hasn’t. Most often, it’s both — and we decide together.

What to expect

How a first conversation goes from here.

  1. First, a free 15-minute call.

We talk about what brought you in. No paperwork yet. If we’re a fit, we book your initial visit. If we aren’t, I’ll point you to someone who is.

  2. Then, the initial session.

A longer conversation — your history, your goals, what’s working, what isn’t. We co-write a plan. If medication is part of it, we discuss the options and start where it makes sense.

  3. Then, the work.

Standard visits are part check-in, part counseling. Frequency depends on where you are in your journey. Evenings and nights are available when life won’t cooperate with daytime hours.

Want to see if we're a fit?

A 15-minute phone call is enough. There's no obligation to continue, and the call is free.
